This restored, heavy duty, twin shear Stropped type block has cast iron pulley wheels and a 35 mm steel thimble. The rope binding is painted black to resemble the original tar coating that it would have had when it was used on a early 20th Century sailing ship. Overall dimensions are 59 x 23 x 21 cm (23" x 9" x 8¼"). The wooden pulley itself is 28 x 15 x 21 cm (11" x 6" x 8¼"). The rope is 30 mm diameter bound with 3 mm lashing. |
