SHIP'S BELL - Large 28 cm Japanese Bronze Bell with Ship's Name

This heavy bronze bell came from a Japanese freighter, or container ship, named "Prince Maru No. 14", launched in 1980. It's 28cm (11") in diameter, approx. 28 cm (11") high, and weighs over 11.5kg (25.4 lbs). It also has a heavy cast iron clapper attached with a chain, and a long sisal rope bell-pull.

A brass Japanese maker's name-plate is fixed to the top of the bell (see detailed image).
