SHIP'S BELL - Large 30cm (12") Bronze 9.5kg
This large, late 19th/early 20th century, bronze ship's bell weighs 9.45 kg (20.83 lb), including the original heavy duty bronze harp shackle, but no clapper. Bells of this size and age are getting harder to find, especially ones with an original bronze Harp shackle. The bell's throat diameter is 30.3 cm (12”) and it’s about 28 cm (11”) tall, not including the shackle. It’s a genuine antique bell and the beautiful, naturally-aged, bronze patina gives it a lot of character.
A custom cast bronze clapper and a hand-made rope-work bell-pull are available on request (POA).
I do not recommend removing the beautiful, naturally-aged, bronze patina by polishing, however this service is available if required (POA). |
